1. Our Commitment to Accuracy
At Idea Forge Studios, we believe that credibility is earned through rigor. Every piece of content we publish — whether a blog post, research report, case study, or marketing material — is held to the highest standards of accuracy and honesty.
In an era of misinformation and AI-generated noise, we choose to be a source of truth. Our editorial policies exist to ensure that every claim we make can be verified, every statistic we cite can be traced, and every recommendation we offer is grounded in evidence.
2. The Rule of Three
Every significant factual claim in our published content must be independently verified by a minimum of three distinct and credible sources. This is our foundational editorial standard.
What constitutes a "significant factual claim"?
- Statistical data or numerical assertions (market share, growth rates, etc.)
- Historical facts or timeline claims
- Technical specifications or capability claims
- Industry trends or market analysis
- Comparative statements between products, services, or platforms
What is exempt from the Rule of Three?
- Clearly stated opinions or commentary
- Internal company data and proprietary metrics
- Generally accepted common knowledge
- Client testimonials and direct quotes (attributed to source)
3. Evaluating Source Quality
3.1 High-Quality Primary Sources
These are our preferred sources and carry the most weight in verification:
- Peer-reviewed academic journals and research papers
- Government reports and official statistics (Census Bureau, BLS, etc.)
- University research centers and academic institutions
- Official documentation from technology vendors (e.g., Google, WordPress.org)
- Industry regulatory bodies and standards organizations
3.2 Reliable Secondary Sources
These are acceptable for corroboration when primary sources are unavailable:
- Established industry publications (TechCrunch, Search Engine Journal, etc.)
- Reports from recognized research firms (Gartner, Forrester, Statista)
- Major news outlets with editorial standards (Reuters, AP, etc.)
- Professional organizations and trade associations
3.3 Sources We Avoid
- Anonymous or unattributed sources
- User-generated content without verification (forums, social media posts)
- Content from sites with known bias or misinformation history
- Outdated sources where more current data is available
- Circular references (sources that cite each other without original data)
4. AI-Generated Content
We use AI tools as part of our content creation workflow. Our policy on AI-generated content:
- All AI-generated content is reviewed and edited by a human editor before publication
- Factual claims in AI-generated content are verified using the Rule of Three, regardless of the AI's confidence
- AI is used as a drafting and research tool, not as a final authority
- We do not publish AI-generated content without human oversight
5. Corrections and Updates
If we discover an error in published content, we take the following steps:
- Minor errors (typos, formatting) are corrected immediately without notice
- Factual corrections are noted with a visible correction notice and date
- Significant retractions or updates include a prominent notice at the top of the content
- We do not silently alter published claims or data
6. Conflicts of Interest
We disclose relevant relationships that may influence our content:
- Affiliate relationships are clearly disclosed when recommending products or services
- Sponsored content is labeled as such
- We do not accept payment in exchange for favorable reviews or recommendations
- Our editorial team operates independently from our sales and business development activities
7. Client Content
When creating content for clients (blog posts, copy, marketing materials), we apply the same editorial standards unless the client specifically directs otherwise. We will advise clients when their requested claims cannot be verified and may decline to publish content that we believe to be misleading or inaccurate.
